As you have come across this page, I shall take the liberty of assuming that some intimate details about the person you are looking for are in order.

Let me begin with a confession: I consider myself a pragmatist. Occasionally I find myself inclined towards the centre-left views although I was raised in a deeply conservative society. I have strong political conviction towards tackling social conflict and improving social justice through active government support and provision of fair economic opportunities—without undermining private initiatives, and personal and family responsibilities.

I’m a proud Sabahan from Malaysia who has moved to England since 2012 to further my higher education. I studied Accounting at the University of Hull and after graduation in 2015, I continue to pursue a Master’s degree in Law and Finance at the Queen Mary University of London. Once an active member of the UK Labour Party during my university days, I have great passion in the field of business and economics, and have strong sociopolitical concerns.

I’m a passionate reader of the world news, history, politics, business and economics—particularly keen on observing the UK and Malaysian politics. I have a distaste for political corruption, and forgotten and twisted historical events, e.g., the state rights and autonomy of Sabah and Sarawak within the Malaysian Federation, which I believe they can only be overcome if the voice of concern triumphs.

As you may have expected, my greatest inspirations are influentials in the fields of politics, business and economics. They include Lee Kuan Yew, Tony Blair, Anwar Ibrahim, Karpal Singh, Joseph Stiglitz, Michael Bloomberg, Robert Kuok, and of course, my good ol’ dad. The most important values to me are sincerity, confidence, righteousness and fearlessness.

I’m also an automobile and water sports enthusiast who enjoy very much on travelling and exploring different regions of the world. And oh, I’m a dedicated James Bond fan and I love espionage thrillers.

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day. 😉

Best wishes,

John Heng
